An-other day.

Today I jolted out of sleep at 5.00 a.m. with some arbit weird sound from a silencer-less scooter in the neighbourhood. Although it was near about time to wake up, yet I dozed back to sleep. The second time I woke up, it was 8.00 a.m. I was sweating like anything. Hot summer morning in Delhi are nightmarish. It was too late so I rushed to get ready. To catch an auto for office, I had to walk nearly a mile with all heavy stuffs in my backpack constituting 2.8 kg of laptop too . Technology is a heavy burden on me indeed.
Then the auto which I took had 2 tiny passengers already seated inside. They were school students and some relative of the Auto wallah. It didn't mattered because he agreed to drop me first at my destination. The moment we were about to start, suddenly a grown up boy also came and said he had to go to the same school as children. So he was given a front seat along with the Autowalla. Practically that auto looked like a school bus. And I loved it!
Indeed that reminded me of my school bus, which I used to take at 5.00-6.00 in the morning few years back. Anyways, these two kids were chatting amongst themselves. They had some exams going on [obviously I overheard; I am becoming good at it!;D] Also I interrupted because nowadays I cannot remain mum for long. :D From the brief interrogation it was evident that they were class 8th students from Sarvoday Vidyalay,though they looked not more than class 4 students,yet I imagined that they might have been double promoted or my age estimation must be wrong.Their summer vacations are from 30th April for 2 months. I looked them with awe. How envious that look was! ;
On every traffic stop that autowalla stopped to look back and scare the kids by showing them one tight slap and saying that they must not make any 'Furras" and the bus which they should take while returning home or they should sit nicely in the auto. Meanwhile all my sympathy was with kids who were so lively that they made my day indeed and also touched my life in a way. Their white uniform and black shoes reminded me of my duty as school prefect when I hated to catch kids for breaking discipline. It was tough for me because I cannot see wrong in any one in the first place secondly why was I supposed to be strict on them when I cannot be angry at all![contradictory to recent outburst of anger which I have somehow managed to control.] Good old school days! Sigh........:)
Reaching the factory, The atmosphere was pretty different today. Somehow they had reckoned that I am from Jharkhand so the pattern master, tailors, sampling people, helpers all joked and laughed in Bhojpuri to please me. It is actually a sweet language, reminds me of familiar family talks so much so that I preferred sitting with them rather than being comfortably seated in AC office upstairs. Secondly that expedited my work a little bit. 2.5 pieces in 3 days is not a bad speed after all! :) I have also promised to treat them with sweets once all my pieces are done. With this sweet bribe people seemed overjoyed and more serious in work. Corruption? Should I term it like that? Well I don't mind it anyways!
Returning back home I fall asleep in the cab open mouthed to everyone amusement and my astonishment. Thank God only few noticed me since it was dusky and mayhem can hide inadequacies. Also I dreamt in that short nap that I have started writing all wrong grammar and then remembered Mr. Bachchan's blog where he claimed that he can use pompous "shall" instead of humble 'will' because he has a freedom to express himself. Quite inspiring that was. Then I also saw faint images of 2 of my friends with sticks in their hand rebuking me to write correctly-quite hilarious ;)
On the happy note I was happy due to some more reasons. My bestest friend got placed. My joy knew no bounds,although she is not that happy at all ,yet I am happy for her! Secondly its my first best friend's birthday today so I evoked everyone related to her and me, to wish her and was glad to see her wall on FB full of creative messages! Old friends are the best ones indeed!
On a happier note, nowadays, I need only signs and traces to get enthusiastically happy, roads to it are automatically built!

sleeping in the cab is an art form actually.
Nice to know that a fellow blogger has mastered it.

Yes and that mastery involves sleeping with half eyes open. Sometimes my room mates in hostel used to get frightened seeing me sleep in the middle of the night. ;D

You are always welcome here :D
