Bleed Blue

Frankly speaking, We don’t have much interest in Cricket. My mum and me ,have none and Papa and Bro have moderate, somewhat lukewarm interest.We have rarely watched any cricket match.

But this Bleed Blue Indo-Pak strife today on 30th March,2011. Few things changed. We watched the match throughout...ball by ball, wicket by wicket. What kept me amused, more than cricket was Mum's wit -every nano second! Here are some examples:

• When will they have their lunch? They must be tired. At-least let them have some snacks.
• Why did they decide to play in so much heat? Can't this happen indoors?
• Seeing some Pakistani Batsman spit in between the balls: " Dekh rahe hain hum iss gande insaan ko bahut der se, koi civic sense nahi hai! "
• "Dhoni ekdum babua dikh raha hai"-Whole narration of Devdi mandir, because she has visited it too recently ,begins ;)
• Lata Mangeshkar Didn't ate anything throughout the match for Sachin! How affectionately-passionate she is! If I would have done the same,then?As if...
• Akhir kab tak chalegi ye bhaga daudi ?
• Ye lo "geet" kaun ga raha hai? hadd hai, khel hi lo ya ga hi lo!
• Sardar ji helmet nahi pehna ? [harbhajan singh] ;)
• After winning the match, they are hugging each other, shaking hands. How courteous they are! Nice!
• If this would have happened 60 years before, everyone would have been in the same team! Happiness would have doubled.

My bro who was flying from Ranchi to Delhi ,had a ball by ball update from pilot of the flight. Although even before alighting the plane Bhaiya predicted that If India decides to Bat they would defeat Pak by 30 runs and if they decide to field, it would be by 3 wicket!

My whole family has a radar system fixed. Mum knows when a phone is about to ring ,even when it is put on silent, Bro knows all cricket results, I can sense ppl's mind many times and Papaji, he is just genius. Nothing can match his true imagination! ;)
