Mumma's college IDMy college ID's Photograph Let us spot out differences:
  • She is inexplicably, conventionally and marvellously beautiful. She resembles some black and white movie actress. I look as if straight out of some basketball match ;)
  • Her outfit is custom made, with design details ordered to the personal tailor who was one of the best in the town then. [Bajrang tailors- speaking more precisely] . Also the classic taste is evidently reflected in the way the garment is worn. I can see Juliet sleeve in Georgette-chiffon along with tights[she told me this] and also contrast color odhni. My whole attire is partially from Sarojini Nagar Market and partially from Lajpat Nagar. Also it is worn with a mindless carelessness that too for the heck of wearing something, because to escape cold I had to have some jacket on. :)
  • Talking about makeup, she has barely put any. Her skin is glowing with natural home-made stuffs like chandan-turmeric-unboiled milk-honey and neem face pack which she makes to avoid skin ailments and pimples. Well in my case too I am similar because even I have no makeup on! [ truth is we both don't know how to apply any ;) I cannot remember if we have ever bought any makeup article like foundation/ lipstick etc - he he he] Yes she must have applied ponds cold cream for that matter and I have not because the day this photo was taken, I just got up and rushed early in the morning to the studio.
  • Her hair is so long and beautiful! Also it is shining due to aanwla-ritha- shikakai mixture which she uses as a shampoo to wash hair and coconut oil- kapoor to nourish them. Sad to notice my receding hairline. It has receded even more in all these years. If only, I had obeyed her and took some time out to apply things she advises to do , constantly, I would have been someone different. Anyways hair partition is done in similar way.
  • She has put kajal which I am sure is from Diya's soot. Her eyes look beautiful and is shaped intricately by extended eyelashes etc. Her eyes look like a deer's eye. My eyes look like a button hole! Bulging out and without any reason. Although I prefer not to apply kajal or something yet people complain that when I look, it seems as if I am staring vacantly ! ;D
  • I have the same ear- ring as her, because its not mine, its her's! She has given me all her things he he he
  • Its our undergraduate pic. Even I have studied in the same college for an year or two. She has done her graduation, post graduation from the same institute.
  • Also see the difference of attitude. Her poise suggest an intelligent, cool attitude. I am smiling but that isn't a natural one. Its because I was trying to control my giggling seeing the funny looking photographer.

Well, all said and compared, I just love my Mumma and was missing her , so wrote all this nonsense as easy as it is. :D
