De-Fragmentation 3

Life begins the moment you decide it to begin. Out from all extremities, you decide to live life cheerfully.
  • Being a witness of so much good and so much bad, now you have tasted many things in life. You can select when and what to opt for.
  • You discover and find out your lost passions. Things which makes you happy should be done first.
  • With realization comes confidence and guts to take some effective steps to cure yourself. Instead of following already made paths ,you start following your heart and make your hobby your passion and career.
  • This pays you well. You start staying happy. Although environment is new again, yet you are neither scared nor unadjusted
  • The first day in hostel was a little different. Not only it was the first night in a big unknown city, but also with an entirely different set of faces who were not at all known.
  • The turning point was when the heart became stronger than the brain, calculated the gain and loss faster and bade goodbye to all the worries more quickly than brain and everything was transformed in a flash!
  • The first suffocating room in the hostel with no open window choked along with the rommie who had full intention of utilizing the newly attained freedom from parent's surveillance by talking on phone whole night with her boyfriend! You were dismayed, so amazed to know that people can talk continuously on phone for so long! Felt like stone age human being indeed. ;D
  • A week later whole NIFT lot was transferred to 1st floor and rest ground floor +basement was reserved for architects and other working women. Although it burnt like hell, yet it had large windows in every room so you were happy. Two Patna girls readily accepted me as their roomie. Being the latest addition in their friendship you felt happy and comforted.
  • But gradually this proportion changed a bit. You become a strong "bridge" to build up gaps and glue fragmented friendships. The meanest and the most hated person[ according to already set norms] would confide their secrets and "dukhda" with you. That made you feel important once again.
  • Suddenly you realize that you are in a fashion college that too one of the best in the country! world moves at a fast speed around you.
  • Innumerable girl's chitter chatter and gossips, the fashion tit bits, the tantrums they would show to seek public attention, the late night partying, ways to escape warden's eye and remain out whole night, heights of dressing less, queer swear words that could never be in the dictionary, mobile and money theft, constant banging on the door at 3.00 a.m. to check out for the thief or any traces, newbie modelling practices, fitness fanatics all made you experienced and stand on your own.
  • Waking up whole night to complete Elements Of Design and V&R worksheets, the difficult Geometry shapes that could only be molded if only you have mammoth sized patience to let the adhesives dry before every turn.
  • The innumerable paint bottles and brushes added to mayhem because there were chances to get these mixed among each other. Good part was when roomie [who is getting married on 6th June and I am on a lookout for a present to gift her] and me separated the stationary like all the paints were hers and brushes mine, blank papers went to her and books to me! Learnt the art of assorting and arranging .
  • The only computer with net connection in the computer room and the fights entwined to sit and scrap on 'orkut' was a real fun exercise. People used to get so much addicted that 1st thing after alighting from college bus would not be to relax and freshen up, instead to run and check the scrap book. Hesitantly seeing all this even you create a new account and lo! whole world was already there.
  • Lohri, diwali, durga pooja , holi celebrations , sumptuous delicacies from Priya mam[warden's kitchen] which were like a welcome relief from mess food that was a real horror. The only good thing that mess could have was the sunday 'brunch' consisting of chole bhature, dahi bada and sweets.
  • Agrawall sweets in Vasant kunj was a saviour for many girls. Gol gappas and chowmein were really worth relishing. Juggling with some serious stomach problems, it was difficult to manage yet faith made it possible.
  • Till now a strong faith was formulated in mind that Nothing worse can happen, every bad thing is finished and now everything will happen for good.
  • The newly built Shiv mandir in the backside of the hostel was an attraction point, elaborate pooja by pundit jee made the experience really cherishing.
  • Birthdays @ rooftops at midnight were awesome because we could shout out aloud freely and no constriction was imposed for the purpose.
  • Newly bought laptop and mobile phone kept you engaged for long. The shared net connection was also fun since you could tease roomies by occupying it for the 1st 3 hours slot from 6.30-7.00 to 9.00-9.30 which was like prime time and then most conveniently work on the assignments for the rest of the night.
  • Queer habit of half closing eyes and sometimes open mouth while sleeping would scare some people amusingly, they would come, talk thinking you to be awake, while you are in a deep sleep.
  • Winds of change affected many people and changed them inside out. Some dark secrets were created too that can never be mentioned at all. Still you managed to maintain your sanity. The extremist light inside which was moderately lighting, now burnt with scintillating grandeur.
  • Confidence was boosted manifolds and you knew how to live.
